Bullrun Ticket to Drive Finalist #5
DeLorean wins.
A tough week! Very different cars lined up for the final but the winner this week is the DeLorean. I’m no fan of Back to the Future but this a real iconic car of the 80s. David and I are both fans of this car. First off, what a great mod job has been done to this car, making it cool for today but not a departure from the original styling. Secondly the guy who built these back in the 80s (allegedly) took a millions of dollars from Mrs Thatchers’ British government in subsidies to build this car in the UK, stopped production, went back to the USA and they then tried to put him in jail for it…they failed! Great story, great car.

Great Scott! Welcome to "the pack". Where we're going...we don't need roads...:-)

Good Luck!
TEAM GTO
Welcome to the final's Team VW
Forgot to mention one other thing about DMC (and the reason john was jailed): The business, was funded by cocaine. John Delorean designed the GTO and other iconic speed machines (Stingray...). He then started his own company, and when he ran out of money, he bankrolled the cars development and production with drugs.
Yea baby My chances just keep getting better!
Whatever Steevo/Team Spiral err...Twist. (Whatever you "call" yourselves.)
That's cute that you think your chances are getting better, but everyone still thinks you suck.
Go VW!
Go GTO !
Go Stang!
Go Delorian!
Boo Spinster-Twister-Puke Yellow Car!
Wasn't me!! I would NEVER hide behind the word "anonymous".
Someone--a coward--is playing games. All of my critiques have been in defense of authenticity and uniqueness. The world is plagued with cheap ass rip-offs. Now someone's pretending to be me.
Someone needs to step forward and stand up for originality. Might as well be Team Twist.
A little IP address logging should straighten this out.
if this car wins, and the lambo returns, it would lead to "battle of the doors" :)
Since I'm the owner I'll respond to the most common falsity of the DMC Automobile... and that would be Michaels comment. The car was funded by the Delorean dealerships, outside investors and to quote Andy the British government. The infamous drug story was part of an FBI sting operation, and Jon was acquitted of all charges and did not spent one day behind bars. However the company which had already banged heads with the British governements new "labor party" was no longer granted the funding needed to keep the factory doors open, and the company filed for bancruptcy in 1982. It's an amazing story, and if you do a little research using the wonder they call the internent, you too can learn a little history.
Thanks for the votes! Hope to see everyone at the Rally!
