Bullrun Ticket to Drive Finalist #3

This week’s winner is the Ferrari 250 GTO project car. The original GTOs are tremendous Grand Tourers and the spirit of grand touring is what Bullrun is all about. This project is a great homage to the GTO. Authentic models of this car (39 made I think) we're trading at $2 million bucks back in the 80s and these days you're looking at $15 million dollars to have one of these in your stable. This is a great car that Ferrari got right - a really beautiful car but also the model competed well on the track.

That is a beautiful car. I assume it is not an original. That might be fun to run in and it would be at home with having a number on it.

A Nissan 240 in a dress? Nah. Looks nice, but not enough HP to keep up with the pack.

No Episode 4 up on Spike yet... what gives, Andy?

Nice clone, but I have a feeling I know what Enzo is doing in his grave right about now....

Next thing you know we will be seeing a Bradly GT.

If one can afford such a nice car as this then they can afford to pay full price and enter Bullrun the same way all the rich kids do....

Anonymous said...

MANY people can BUY there way into a contest, but then your worth is measured by yourself. WE are leaving it to the Professionals to tell us we BELONG in BULLRUN.

The RIDE that stands out will be the ride CHOSEN by the big guys... not the one who paid their way in.

Cheers!

Why are there no engine shots?

Anonymous said...

Because it's a Datsun 240Z That's why....

Anonymous said...

He was talking about that Old School Benz. There is a shot of the GTO on his site Do-Do!

Anonymous said...

Is it really a 240z?

Congrats from CALI Man! Represent!

The Bullrun people are racers and promoters. At the end of the day, they will choose the car that is most competitive. They will want the car that adds the most color and excitement to their event. And that car, ladies and gentlemen, is the Team Twist Camaro (featured in the link below:)
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2563772

Team Twist (that's us) brings competitive racing and rally experience to the party. Did someone say party? We will most definitely PAR-TAY! Our car is extremely well sorted and competition ready.

Furthermore, Bullrun fans worldwide hold the Ferrari brand in high regard. Your Datsun, while a beautiful car, is no Ferrari.

So don't pack your undies just yet. Team Twist will rock your ass and then move on to steal the show in May.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone have any MUSTARD? I need some for my hot dog. Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Wow! This Ferrari replicar is getting a lot of hits here. I'd like to see this car eat all the haters out there. A jap car dressed in a Ferrari - you don't see that often. I like american muscle cars too but the Camaros are too "common". Good luck fellas!

Ahem-Ahem, chest-puffing, huh?

I thought BULLRUN was all about Camaraderie and Sportsmanship?
According to the creators of BULLRUN the only obligatory goals for the rally are to PARTY, DRIVE and ENJOY. Either way, we are flattered by you commenting on our page (since you don't get any traffic yourself on Andy's blog.)

Question: How many times do you bring your car to the shop for repairs? Our car is so reliable, we will take it to Bullrun in May, then to the Spike TV show without doing any additional mods to it except for changing the OIL!

P-E-R-S-O-N-A-L-I-T-Y? A spontaneous and funky husband and wife team that can NAVIGATE, Drive, PARTY and NETWORK with peeps is what Andy and the Bullrunners want to SEE and BE with.

You may beat me in the Quarter Mile - but when it comes to being "one-of-a-kind", TEAM GTO takes the prize!

To all Ferrari Lovers; Replica Owners, Datsun/Nissan owners - UNITE and show your support! Just wait and see!

By the way, team twist, you might get "hot" in your car. You can always ride with us...we'll turn on the AC for you! And- For the record- we will not let you "Rock our Asses", but thanks for the offer!

Our "undies" are already packed... and we threw in some "panties" for you.

Love, Peace and Engine Grease!!!

Daaaang!!! FIGHT! Will the next finalist be this controversial? "Can't we all just get along?"

Anonymous said...

"Let them HATE, so long as they FEAR."

Was looking through the pictures on the bullrun site and saw the car. What a gorgeous car! Put the 250GTO next to anything on the road right now and it'll put 'em all to shame. It's not always about HP. You gotta have the looks as well and this one is the perfect package. I would love to see it on bullrun, treking across the country.

Anonymous said...

Ha Ha! Cool glad you guys are into a little verbal exchange. Here we go:

A) My car NEVER ever goes to the shop because my friends and I, the Twisted Idiots, built it with our own blood, sweat, & tears;
2)We don't need AC cause we're cool like Fonzie;

and
III) Please take the Ferrari emblems off your car they're totally wierding me out. A lot. Like I said, your Z is off the chain, but it's as gen-U-ine as ass implants. No way will Bullrun pick a Datsun slathered with Ferrari emblems and prancing horses. It would be PR suicide. I'm just trying to be helpful here. You should strongly consider removing the emblmes and having your own insignia made. How about this instead of 250 GTO: "240 GT-NO"

Now, the world's first paddle shifted hot rod? The car that launched the Streetfighter trend among pro-touring enthuisasts? That's the hot ticket right there boys and girls.

Team Twist. We want this.

Anonymous said...

Sup, ya'll! Nice replica bro! I know you can't get the real deal cause' its worth over $10M. But your Project GTO sure comes close to it. If I had it my way...I'd pick yours over the Camaro (although I like that ride too - it's pretty sick!). But who knows? It's up to them folks @ Bullrun to decide. I'd like to see the two of you in the rally and see who makes it. Late!

Anonymous said...

Ooooh another replica versus Import versus domestic. Consider yourselves lucky that you guys were chosen. I think Andy and the gang will be choosing a Porsche, Audi, Mini or Benz next...choose my AMG!!!

Anonymous said...

Couldn't agree with you more Steevo! That car might be a nice show poodle and fool some people into thinking it is what it isn't. I think it has more plastic and make-up then Tammy Faye Baker. A kit Cobra has more in common with the original then this one does.

Anonymous said...

Steevo and Team Twist - we welcome all your comments. We wish you all the best and congratulate you to the top 6 finalists for Ticket to Drive.

Andy and the BULLRUN team are big time car enthusiasts and there is a reason why they chose our Ferrari Replica GTO.

Like any replica car - we built ours for a purpose - to retain the "Z" spirit, and the untouchable Ferrari Touring Car - one that can be driven daily, consistently and still able to go over 100MPH! Not to mention - that "Oooomph" factor!

Like every car owner on Car Domain, each CAR was either bought or built for a purpose and every owner is PROUD of their ride.

Talk all the crap you want. We will continue to SUPPORT and watch the progress of the remaining finalists!

Now, get OFF our PAGE and go"PRETEND" to create traffic on your own. Stay out of our lane!

Don't worry STEEVO (a true JACKASS), we'll send you a postcard from Montreal and give a shout out to you on the show!

Perhaps you and your "BOYZ" can meet us in Florida and watch us cross the finish line?

TEAM GTO will need a good detail by then!

Le'edision Sil Vou plait!

I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed the grammar no-no on Steevo's comment:

A)
2)
and
III)

Um...Yeah. That will be all. Thanks.

Thanks for the Prop's. It means alot coming from a team like your.. You are a class act...

It's a joke. See? All three are different.

Anonymous said...

Hey- when you guys go to the Rally tell the flag girls I LOVE them, and I have a date with them tonight at 10! Whhodddy-Whoooooo!

Anonymous said...

We watched Bullrun on Spike last night. That show is awesome! That's so exciting that you guys made it to be a finalist for the rally. Were keeping our fingers crossed for you! Go Team GTO!

Anonymous said...

good job the kit for the 240 is hard to find, but you could have at least swapped a l28t in there and had about an extra 100 hp, it bolts right up to the 240z transmission

Anonymous said...

Admin: On Andy's main blog page, the pic of the GTO (on the top right corner) links to the mustangs car domain page when you click on it. Ooops.

Anonymous said...

Hey, since you are in DC/VA - it would be a nice gesture and remembrance if you place a Virginia Tech bumper sticker on your car during the Rally in memory of all the students that perished from the massacre. Peace! http://www.vt.edu/

Anonymous said...

We would be glad to place a VT sticker in remembrance (as long as it meets the Bullrun disclaimer/ criteria).

Please continue to follow our progress:

1 - www.bullrun.com (Club B-Run)

2 - www.cardomain.com

3 - www.my250gto.com

Thank You for your continued support and we will keep VT University in our PRAYERS.

Be Blessed,

TEAM GTO

wake up!!!!! your car is not a Ferrari, once you lose the ticket to drive contest, rip all that fake crap off the car and return it to the Nissan turd is was and always has been, you wannabe

Anonymous said...

Our Car Domain blurb states that the vehicle is a clone. If you want to purchase a 100% authentic 250 GTO, you will need to go to a museum and fork out over $4M to get one.

Regardless - we are extremely happy with our car.

Thank you for paying attention to us. Obviously, we have a lot of interest here, on Andy's Blog.

Also - we recommend you refrain from posting negative comments to the Nissan/Datsun community - their cars are as solid as any.

Anonymous said...

lol, you wannabes, wtf is wrong with you, state it is a poser car, with a"inline six for daily driving" lmao, so ridiculous, daily driving, but you have authentic panels on the car uh?? bs, Ferrari has shut down anyone who has attempted to remake parts, to bad they did not stop you in your butchering of a true classic and i am not talking about a 240z turd either

Anonymous said...

GO EVERYONE ELSE!!!

mr 250turd is home crying because he did not win, spike figured he was a fake......
